Post Valentine’s Day Creations

Handmade Be Mine Banner

In the midst of Purging my loft I came across some lightweight canvas. I turned it into pennants for a banner.

I began the creative process knowing I wanted to stencil some color. I grabbed some shimmer sprays and a favorite music stencil. to add some interest.

A cardstock panel and grommets were added. I used my cricut maker to mirror image the letters on glitter on iron on vinyl. Ironed them on with my cricut easy press 2 for a very professional look. In cleaning my drawers, I came across a couple silk roses I had made and a few gold hearts. I created the felt heart and balls that separate each pennant.

The cards were created from all found pieces and bits in my room stash. The only exception is the Be mine card. Tha is made with dies from Trinity Stamps, Elizabeth Crafts and Poppystamps.

I am working on getting cards, supplies and unused product listed here on my shop page. It seems as though wordpress has made a few changes that I am having to learn.

Loft Purge

Welcome Friends! Well it’s January and typically the time to organise and re-fresh. I am a bit late but I am cleaning out my studio.

What this means is I will be listing new and gently used supplies for sale at very reasonable prices. It may take me awhile to get it all posted so come back often. there will be lots! My 12 x 12 Cardstock is stored in the Stamp N Storage inserts for the Kallax Cubes from Ikea. If you use my link I get credit for the referral.

If you are local and wish to meet to avoid shipping I am happy to do that. I may also have a few mystery boxes for those of you that enjoy surprises.

Thanks for stopping by.

Set of Birthday Cards

I was a busy girl this weekend. I attended my first ever On stage Live with Stampin Up! It rejuvenated my creative mojo! I’ll talk more about that in another post.

Today I am sharing a group of cards that all have the same image in them, but they are all a little bit different. I would love your opinion on which version you prefer. The very first card was my inspiration for the others. I basically stamped the image Penny Black Your Birthday Stamp in Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored with my Copic Markers. The very first card is the one that inspired the rest. Let me know which one is your favorite!

To make these cards, I went to my pre-cut and scored card-bases along with my pre-diecut shaped pieces. I pulled coordinating colors and a variety of pre-done sentiments to create the designs here. Finally adding a few sequins to complete the looks.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Bear wishes SVG

Good Afternoon Friends! Welcome, today I have a paper pieced SVG from Little Scraps of Heaven. The most adorable bear holding a cupcake. A little known fact about me is that I used to design for an SVG company making all sorts of these cute files. I had an itch to make one after attending a creative getaway in Lake Tahoe with a few friends.

I looked on my computer at all the files I had purchased and came across this one and thought how cute it would be for a Birthday Card! Using Cricut Design Space application I uploaded my file. Going through my scrap bin of paper and cut out each piece. Carefully inking them with chalk ink before assembling him to place on the card. Now the beauty of SVG’s are you can change the size that you want it to be! I, however just imported it and cut it..:) so it is quite large and I had to make a 6 x 6 Card!

The patterned paper, tag die and sentiment are from The Stamps Of Life. The Oval Scallop Die is Elizabeth crafts. All Cardstock is from my scrap bin. While cleaning my studio I came across an old tool by Imanginece (not sure if they are still around?) a hot tool that applied my rhinestones.

I hope you enjoy this card, I had fun making it. Let me know in the comments what you might like to see here on my blog, Facebook page or instagram.

La La Land Mermaid

Do you ever feel like you are living amongst a sea of fish? Lol

With the whole Country being Shelter -in -Place, I have been spending more time in my Creative Studio. I almost had forgotten how much I LOVE it!

A girlfriend invited me to participate in a happy mail card swap with La La Land Crafts, I happily said yes and got right to work.

I chose to use the Sassy Mermaid Molli Stamp. I love Mermaids! I had purchased this in August during a class in Lodi with Irina Blount on Copic coloring.

I really enjoy coloring with my copic markers. I need to brush up on my techniques but I am happy with the end result.I created a 5.5 x 5.5 Card with layers of 5.25x 5.25 and 5 x 5 stenciled white paper. Using La La Land Crafts waves stencil and Distress ink I created the background. The Image was stamped in Memento ink and colored with the following copic colors. E00,E000,E13, R00,R20,Y23E41E21,E04,R21,R85, YG63G40G43,YG11.

Fishing Net die and Star circle La La Land Dies. Circle die, Coral Kelp & Rocks Elizabeth Crafts. Sand Dollar is Jaded Blossom Die. I added dots of copic on her fin as well as Stickles and glossy accents on the shells.

Wow it’s been almost a year!

Welcome my friends and new viewers! I am going to make every attempt to get something on here at least once a week. I am going to get real personal with you here.

I had taken a year hiatus because life got a little hectic for me. My daughter had a baby boy in June, only to have him got to be with the lord three days later. He had a rare genetic disorder called OTC. You can read more about it here on my daughters Instagram.

Baby Mason and Mom

Shortly after that there was a shooting at that resulted in a family member’s best friend being killed. To say we were all shook up is an understatement. I took time off to help my daughter and be an emotional support for the family.

With all of the tragedy that struck our family, we needed something positive to focus on. So planning a wedding was just the thing! In three months my daughter and I put together the most beautiful wedding in Big Sur. With the help of Mason’s godly presence (my grandson) everything came together.
