St. Patrick’s Day

Welcome to March! How fast is this year flying by for you? I am trying to stay ahead of the game. I have my St.Patrick’s Cards done and ready to mail. For these cards I used Papers I had on hand. The Gnome die is from Jaded Blossom, as well as the card layer dies. For my sentiment I used my go to Lawn Fawn Sets. Happy Happy Happy and Happy Happy Happy Add On. The pattern paper is Authentique and scraps from my color drawers. The horseshoe and clover are retired Poppystamps.

The beards were colored with abandoned coral distress ink. These cards are fairly quick to make once you have all your pieces cut out and assembled.

A little DIY Project

I admit I think I have ADD. I have so many projects and idea’s in my head! This is one Project I recently completed. I took an heirloom Maple Ethan Allen Bench and painted it black. Two coats of Beyond Paint. This paint worked wonderfully. No sanding, priming. Just can wipe down and start rolling and brushing.

I ordered the paint from Home Depot. No streaking and a nice matte finish. I sprayed a couple coats of a krylon finish but I may do a coat of polyurethane. I am pretty pleased with the finished product and it looks great with my bedroom set!

my Instagram Posts

To all my website followers, I apologize for my lack of posts here. I confess I have been posting on Instagram due to the ease. I have been struggling with wordpress. I am currently looking into new hosting options. This however is not my area of expertise. If you have any insight that would be helpful I am open to hear your suggestions.

On to some of my latest creations.

Post Valentine’s Day Creations

Handmade Be Mine Banner

In the midst of Purging my loft I came across some lightweight canvas. I turned it into pennants for a banner.

I began the creative process knowing I wanted to stencil some color. I grabbed some shimmer sprays and a favorite music stencil. to add some interest.

A cardstock panel and grommets were added. I used my cricut maker to mirror image the letters on glitter on iron on vinyl. Ironed them on with my cricut easy press 2 for a very professional look. In cleaning my drawers, I came across a couple silk roses I had made and a few gold hearts. I created the felt heart and balls that separate each pennant.

The cards were created from all found pieces and bits in my room stash. The only exception is the Be mine card. Tha is made with dies from Trinity Stamps, Elizabeth Crafts and Poppystamps.

I am working on getting cards, supplies and unused product listed here on my shop page. It seems as though wordpress has made a few changes that I am having to learn.

Set of Birthday Cards

I was a busy girl this weekend. I attended my first ever On stage Live with Stampin Up! It rejuvenated my creative mojo! I’ll talk more about that in another post.

Today I am sharing a group of cards that all have the same image in them, but they are all a little bit different. I would love your opinion on which version you prefer. The very first card was my inspiration for the others. I basically stamped the image Penny Black Your Birthday Stamp in Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored with my Copic Markers. The very first card is the one that inspired the rest. Let me know which one is your favorite!

To make these cards, I went to my pre-cut and scored card-bases along with my pre-diecut shaped pieces. I pulled coordinating colors and a variety of pre-done sentiments to create the designs here. Finally adding a few sequins to complete the looks.

Birthday Bear wishes SVG

Good Afternoon Friends! Welcome, today I have a paper pieced SVG from Little Scraps of Heaven. The most adorable bear holding a cupcake. A little known fact about me is that I used to design for an SVG company making all sorts of these cute files. I had an itch to make one after attending a creative getaway in Lake Tahoe with a few friends.

I looked on my computer at all the files I had purchased and came across this one and thought how cute it would be for a Birthday Card! Using Cricut Design Space application I uploaded my file. Going through my scrap bin of paper and cut out each piece. Carefully inking them with chalk ink before assembling him to place on the card. Now the beauty of SVG’s are you can change the size that you want it to be! I, however just imported it and cut it..:) so it is quite large and I had to make a 6 x 6 Card!

The patterned paper, tag die and sentiment are from The Stamps Of Life. The Oval Scallop Die is Elizabeth crafts. All Cardstock is from my scrap bin. While cleaning my studio I came across an old tool by Imanginece (not sure if they are still around?) a hot tool that applied my rhinestones.

I hope you enjoy this card, I had fun making it. Let me know in the comments what you might like to see here on my blog, Facebook page or instagram.
