FSJ Creative Team- Hop Follow Your Heart/Love

Welcome to the FSJ/Spellbinders Creative Team Blog Hop! Our theme this month is Follow Your Heart/ Love, so be prepared to have lots of  LOVE inspiration coming your way. I am the last stop on the hop line up. You should have arrived here from the fabulous Kazan Clark. If you’d like to start at the beginning head to the FSJ Blog. Today I have created not one but two love cards for you. I used 3 stamp sets from Fun Stampers Journey. FB Post #funstampersjourney #cards #handmade #creativeteam #bloghop #love I used The following stamp sets from fun stampers journey. AT-0303 Love Arrow, SS-0655 Sending My Love and SS-0660 All the Feels. Follow Your Heart Bundle For this card, I used The heart from Love arrow stamped in Candy Apple Red and the love you stamped in Black licorice from Sending my love. The patterned papers are Follow Your Heart Prints from Fun Stampers Journey. Black Licorice Cardstock, Candy Apple Red and Whip Cream. Candy Apple Red and Black Licorice Silks splattered on the white landing page. Finishing touches of lace trim and bling. #funstampersjourney #cards #handmade #creativeteam #bloghop #love For my second card, I repeated the same color scheme. Red, White, and Black. I created my own background using the stamps fro the All The Feels stamp set. Randomly stamping in black licorice and candy apple red. The rectangle piece then is stamped with clear pigment in and embossed with white embossing powder and a heat tool. A die cut a stitched circle from the die set DI-0466 Circle Around Die Set serves as a landing spot popped up for the Love Arrow Heart in Candy Apple Red. The heart is cut out and mounted with foam squares. Finishing touches red gingham ribbon and journey glaze sprinkled with sparkle cuts, let dry overnight. w5MmumgFSGSu3N0oWGap9A-3647507001-1547103650249.jpg #funstampersjourney #cards #handmade #creativeteam #bloghop #love I threw in a third project. I snagged a mailbox from Target dollar spot and embellished it with FSJ stamps. #funstampersjourney #cards #handmade #creativeteam #bloghop #love I made 5 mini Valentine’s that fit inside. This would be cute as home decor or for a child at school. I used the same three stamp sets to create this set. eZy Watermark_14-01-2019_05-43-38PM Valentine’s are so fun to make. FB Post

Welcome to the FSJ/Creative Team Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here from FSJ Blog. You will find lots of inspiration for Holiday projects that are 3-D, giftable or something other than a card.

Today I have made 3 trendy colored Chrismas tags and a Garland Banner for Christmas. I used the Spellbinders Gingerbread Boy Garland Tag Die along with the Christmas Candy Cane Stamps and dies. I will also include the cute little-felt ornament I die cut and sewed together.

The steps to make all these projects is fairly easy. For the tags, I used Oatmeal Cookie and Whip Cream Cardstock just snipping the corners off and punching a hole. Inking around the edges.

The gingerbread Boys/Girls were cut out of Bubble Gum, Cool Pool, and Oatmeal cookie. The pieces were cut out of whip cream and colored with Copic Markers.  Journey Glaze added and some coarse glitter.FSJ/Spellbinder #gingerbread #papercraft #christmas #diecuts

FSJ holly Leaf die and circles to create berries. Sentiments from Merry Everything and Christmas Sprig.

The cozy knit embossing folder gives texture to the tags as well as the enamel dots and pearl pen. Patterned Paper and Ribbon from my stash. These are so stinking cute!

My Garland consists of the Gingerbread Men and the candy canes. I used grommets to secure the hands together then adding candy canes and ribbons.

You should have arrived here from my friend Kazan

Journey Letterboard

Welcome back to my blog. I am so happy you are here. I love sharing as much as I love to create and play. If you are new here and want to be notified when I post something new, just simply enter in your email address to receive a notification.

Hooray! Our theme is Fall, although here in California it still feels like Summer. When I think of Fall, I imagine leaves, pumpkins, hot cocoa, apple cider. It is one of my favorite times of year. Where’s the pile of leaves to play in?

For my project today, I have created a few cards, using liquid colors, inks and pan pastels. I incorporated the amazing blocks from FSJ because this month they are on promotion!  It is a great time to stock up on the ones you need to fill in you collection. If you don’t have any yet the starter kit with case is an awesome deal!

This first card uses two atc stamp sets; Zen Leaves and Many Thanks along with Grid Paper background stamp. For my sentiment I used the thanks from the Designer Frames Die Set. Apply Journey Glaze and let dry.

fullsizeoutput_2121.jpeg

Leaves are inked in Haystack , Citrus Cooler and Cranberry Bliss,True Color Fusion, Inks with a dauber and cut out with the coordinating dies.

For the background I inked the Grid Paper stamp with Oatmeal Cookie and Hazelnut  Blend  Color Fusion Inks. Ink around the edge of the piece then splatter with BLack Licorice Silks. Top off with some Gold Pan Pastel.

fullsizeoutput_211e

Using the journey circles cut a piece of cork or burlap for the leaves to be popped up on with medium journey squares.

Stamp in clear pigment ink and white emboss sentiment from Many Thanks ATC Set. Assemble card as shown. Mounting the background askew on cardbase.

temp.jpg

Isn’t this card FUN! The bold orange with the gold and black is such a bold design and gives such a happy feeling. I used the same stamps just in a different way.  I like to show multiple ways to use stamp sets. Why not get the most out of your supplies and challenge yourself to use a stamp set 2 or three ways. If you get stuck bring in another set or element. Change your card orientation, do you get stuck making just vertical cards? Try horizontal, shapes using dies, mounting pieces askew on purpose.

fullsizeoutput_211d.jpegPlace several drops of liquid color on the non-grid side of the acrylic block. Spritz water on the Color Splash watercolor sheet and the block.

fullsizeoutput_211b.jpegThen apply block to watercolor sheet. to create desired effect.

fullsizeoutput_211c.jpegUsing a clear sheet to pick up more color.

fullsizeoutput_211f.jpegI then stamped partial prints of the grid paper background and splattered with Black Licorice Silk. The maple zen leaf is stamped in Black Licorice in a triangle pattern.

fullsizeoutput_2133.jpegThe sentiment is colored using the liquid color and a dauber from the block. I mixed three colors. Lemon Drop, Orange Creamsicle and Candy Apple Red.

I hope you’re enjoying all the stops on the hop! If you’re new to my blog – I appreciate you stopping by.

I have been so anxious to share these cool, creative and state-of-the-art products with you! I made two projects! I could have kept creating all night. This is something I have been known to do. Who needs sleep right?

Today I will be sharing a Thankful Friends stamp and dies, along with a few techniques. I love learning and experimenting with the products from FSJ. It gives me great satisfaction to create. Whether I come up with something on accident or out of necessity it is so gratifying.

temp 6

I started creating my own background using the luscious Pan pastels Rich Sorbets and Mother Nature. img_6349.jpg

Simply swipe the pan pastels in the desired plaid pattern and blend together with the journey soft tool and journey gold pan pastel. The result is stunning. I also used the clear pigment ink to stamp the leaves and then reveal with pan pastel on top to pop the leaves.

img_8751-e1536978472421.jpg

img_4810-e1536978493660.jpg

The elements of my card were created by inking the squirrel with Oatmeal Cookie True Color Fusion Ink and blending with Cocoa Powder True Color Fusion Ink to create my custom shaded brown squirrel. The process is repeated for all images. Use the coordinating dies to cut images out as well as a black strip from the Border Essentials Die Set.

temp 3

The background is cut down, splattered with Black Licorice Silk and popped up on Pomagranite Splash Cardstock. The sentiment is embossed with Black Embossing Powder and die cut out. All images are popped up with Journey Foam Squares except for border strip. Affix Gold Friendship sequins to finish off.

I love changing out my fireplace mantle with the seasons and holidays. So naturally, I created a fall banner for my second project.

IMG_4745

Using the Grid Background stamp and Oatmeal Cookie and Cocoa Powder Ink stamp on Oatmeal Cardstock, distressing with ink and crumpling paper.

Here is a TIP: My sentiments were embossed here too, I used gold powder and clear pigment ink with cocoa powder ink and clear powder. You can use any of the fusion inks and clear powder for custom embossed pieces. Create your banner pennants using the same technique described for the card. Ink and stamp desired images blending ink colors with the dauber dowel tool.

img_4763-e1536978603421.jpg

The scallop circle dies were used as my anchor for my images and sentiments. Once you glue the stamped torn grid pieces, use the tiny circle from the Cottage Bloom Die Set to create the holes to attach the pennants with ribbon or tulle as shown. Be sure todie cut the holes before assembling all your foam mounted pieces or you will flatten your design. Round the corners with the Journey Corner Rounder.

Embellish each pennant with sequins, splash, ink and Nature Buttons. String your banner with desired twine, string, ribbon as shown.

Now on to the very creative Carrie.

Hopefully, you leave here ready to create some fall decor of your own!

Mother’s Day Cards

Welcome Back! Today I am sharing the cards I created for Mother’s Day!  I hope you enjoy seeing my creations as much as I did creating them. The Happy Days Digital Download can be found @ RGStudio360.com No Stamps or dies needed for these! Just a printer computer and scissors or a digital cutter!

RGStudio360 Happy Days digital downloads. The Yellow and Pink has a shaving cream technique. The second card in the slideshow is done with an acetate card front. Watercolored the one image card and splatter on the last.

img_2274e is a Card I made using Elizabeth Crafts-flower Dies, Heidi Swapp’s Happy die and close to my hearts Mother’s Day sentiments. I have a tendency to use whatever is in my studio, which isn’t always from the same company!

I love the softness of these next cards.
